Oils and Solvents

I recently purchased a small firearms lubricants business that has been in my family for 15+ years. Some of you may be familiar with my company, however the majority of you have probably never heard of us. We produce a highly reliable and effective, well formulated line of bore solvents, gun oils, and black powder solvents. My wife and I are moving back to the U.S. at the end of August and will have the business up and running from our new house within a few months. Once we get settled and I start bottling the product myself, I'll repost and send out some free samples to any GIMers that are interested in giving the product on a whirl on any of their firearms, no charge.

I'll start making a list of anyone interested, so drop me a PM and give me a shout if you'd like to be added to the list. It's a pretty good product, really, I might make future customers out of some of you. Even if not, the samples are a nice way to give back to the GIM community for anyone looking for firearm cleaning products. I'll update this thread in a few months time when I'm up and running.

I wish you success. I would think that this would be a tough market to get into, lots of competitors, with some big names in the biz. Keep us posted!

Sounds like a plan. I can write a product review on it and post it around some sites I know.

Thanks for the messages and encouragement. I agree it would be a pretty difficult industry to breakthrough from the bottom floor, as a new competitor. I don't think I would have ever considered that. However, since this company has been established for over 15 years, has had multiple magazine write-ups in the past, and has a good underground following from being sold at random NRA shooting competitions around the US, I think it will be a good deal easier than introducing an entirely new product/brand name.

Let us know when it is available.

Thanks--

It's not a mystery, I just didn't want the post to appear like spam by plugging myself too much. The name of the company is Shiloh Creek Products.
